This map viewer is based on the data from a series of fish habitat assessments, conducted within the framework of the National Fish Habitat Action Plan. Primary results of these assessments were reported in “Through a Fish’s Eye: The Status of Fish Habitats in the United States 2010” (National Fish Habitat Board, 2010. Through a Fish’s Eye: The Status of Fish Habitats in the United States 2010. Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, Washington D.C. 68 pp.). Users must recognize that the analysis and interpretation of data requires background knowledge and expertise in biology or environmental science, as well as understanding of the procedures and methodology used. The viewer incorporates other datasets, not produced by the NFHP Science and Data Committee, which have been included for informational purposes.
